We are here for you at EVV.

We take health concerns seriously and continually work closely with health professionals and our airline partners to ensure the safety and well-being of our passengers and employees. We maintain a robust and thorough cleaning protocol for the terminal and all of our facilities, following the guidance by public health experts at the federal Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Indiana State Department of Health and the Vanderburgh County Health Department.

YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY.

When you fly EVV, you are flying with your friends, neighbors and family members who truly care about you. Our people working at the airport and cleaning the terminal areas who you can trust, giving you peace of mind when traveling.

Social distancing posters are displayed throughout the terminal.

That’s the EVVantage. Our teams of maintenance employees are working diligently throughout the airport to continually provide a safe, sanitized terminal area, focusing on high touch areas like handrails, seating, escalators, elevator buttons and restroom doors, using hospital-grade disinfectant. EVV offers all new seating, facilities, counters, and other new high-traffic touch points, coupled with enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of these newly installed areas. Our passengers conLnue naming EVV among the cleanest airports in the nation.

In order to reduce the spread of COVID19 and to continue providing airport passengers and employees peace of mind when at the airport and traveling, Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) has made a number of enhancements to our facilities and operations while anticipating the gradual return of passengers.

EVV has implemented a comprehensive, airport-wide effort, the “EVVantage,” that offers our guests continued peace of mind when traveling and mandates best practices for social distancing, mask usage, plastic shield barriers, surface disinfection and touchless transactions, all designed to slow or stop the spread of germs and viruses and to keep everyone at the airport healthy and safe.

Key changes we have implemented at EVV as part of EVVantage

Social Distancing Markers

Nearly 100 floor markings, signs and digital messages provide guidance on six-foot distancing around TSA screening lanes, airline ticket counters, rental car agency counters, gate and boarding areas, baggage carousels and other common areas.

Face masks

All employees in contact with the public are required to wear face masks. All terminal guests and passengers are encouraged to wear face masks. Our airlines require all passengers to wear facial protection while flying.

  • We’ve added Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Dispensers (aka Cover Your Cough (CYC) Compliance Kits) for the entrance vestibules, containing face masks, facial issues and hand sanitizer.

Plastic Shields

Plastic or acrylic shields have been installed in many key high traffic areas, including many ticket counters and rental car agency counters.

NO CONTACT PARKING PAYMENT AND AUTOMATED PARKING LOYALTY PROGRAM LAUNCHES

Airport guests have the option of credit card only pay lanes, alleviating in person contact. We recently launched our new EVVip Parking Loyalty Program, allowing for online account registration and management, no touch automated entry and exit access; and pay - all simply achieved by the swipe of the new EVVip cards.

REDUCED SEATING IN AIRPORT RESTAURANT AND BAR; COMMON AREA OUTSIDE CAFE

Seating has been reduced in the dining areas inside the Iron Compass and outside the cafe area to promote social distancing.

Hand Sanitation

  • We’re adding approximately a dozen more hand sanitizing stations throughout the terminal.
  • We’ve added Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Dispensers (aka Cover Your Cough (CYC) Compliance Kits) for the entrance vestibules, containing face masks, facial issues and hand sanitizer.

Cleaning

EVV has enhanced our cleaning protocols, using cutting-edge disinfection applications and hospital-grade products on surfaces and high touch areas such as hand rails, elevator buttons, escalators and seating, following the guidance by public health experts at the federal Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Indiana State Department of Health and the Vanderburgh County Health Department.

Not just clean, but electrostatic clean!

EVV has added electrostatic sprayers, which provide the most effective and efficient cleaning method to disinfect a countless number of surfaces within the terminal. Research indicates that electrostatic application is eight times more effective than using an uncharged sprayer.

EVV encourages all guests and passengers to follow CDC guidelines to stay healthy

  • We strongly encourage passengers and guests to wear masks when visiting and traveling through the terminal, which is consistent with the airline policies for passengers aboard aircraft.
  • Visiting passengers, who may be experiencing symptoms of illness during their time in the tristate, are encouraged to look for signage throughout the terminal, advising of local healthcare resources’ contact phone numbers.
  • Travelers are encouraged to utilize mobile boarding passes to limit touchpoints.
