We take health concerns seriously and continually work closely with health professionals and our airline partners to ensure the safety and well-being of our passengers and employees. We maintain a robust and thorough cleaning protocol for the terminal and all of our facilities, following the guidance by public health experts at the federal Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Indiana State Department of Health and the Vanderburgh County Health Department.
YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY.
Social distancing posters are displayed throughout the terminal.
When you fly EVV, you fly with your friends, neighbors and family members who truly care
about you and the communities in which we serve. Your health and safety will always be our top
priority, and we are working diligently to keep the terminal safe and clean. We have
implemented a number of enhancements to our facilities and operations to continually reduce the
spread
of germs and bacteria and to continue providing you a safe experience and overall peace of mind
when at the airport and traveling. That’s the EVVantage.

Key changes we have implemented at EVV as part of EVVantage
Cleaning
Our team of maintenance employees are working diligently throughout the airport to
continually provide a safe, sanitized terminal area, focusing on high touch areas
like
handrails, seating, escalators, elevator buttons and restroom doors, using
hospital-grade disinfectant.
Not just clean, but electrostatic clean!
EVV has added electrostatic sprayers, which provide the most effective and efficient
cleaning method to disinfect a countless number of surfaces within the terminal.
Research indicates that electrostatic application is eight times more effective than
using an uncharged sprayer.
Air Purification System
EVV’s air purification system is the gold standard in air purification technology,
delivering a clean, safe indoor air environment. This system by Global Plasma
Solutions was the
first
air purification solution to test SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), achieving a 99.4% reduction
of
the surface strain within 30 minutes.
Breaks down viruses & bacteria, including SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
Reduces airborne particles
Ozone-Free
Continuous 24/7 Air and Surface Cleaning
Social Distancing Markers
Nearly 100 floor markings, signs and digital messages provide guidance on six-foot
distancing at TSA screening lanes, airline ticket counters, rental car agency
counters,
gate and boarding areas, baggage carousels and other common areas.
Face masks
All employees in contact with the public are required to wear face masks. All
terminal
guests and passengers are encouraged to wear face masks. Our airlines require
passengers
to wear facial protection while flying.
We’re adding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) dispensers in the entrance
vestibules, containing face masks, facial tissues and hand sanitizer.
Plastic Shields
Clear protective shields have been installed in many key high traffic areas,
including
many airline ticket counters and rental car agency counters.
NO CONTACT PARKING PAYMENTS AND NEW AUTOMATED PARKING LOYALTY PROGRAM
Airport guests have the option of credit card only pay lanes, alleviating in person
contact. We also recently launched our new EVVip Parking Loyalty
Program,
which allows for online account registration and management, no touch automated
entry
and pay.
SAFE DISTANCING MEASURES IN RESTAURANT AND BAR AREAS
Seating has been reduced in the dining areas inside the Iron Compass and outside the
cafe
area to promote social distancing.
Hand Sanitation
We’re adding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) dispensers in the entrance
vestibules, containing face masks, facial tissues and hand sanitizer.
We’re adding approximately a dozen more hand sanitizing stations throughout the
terminal.
EVV encourages all guests and passengers to follow CDC guidelines to stay healthy
We strongly encourage passengers and guests to wear masks when visiting and traveling through the terminal, which is consistent with the airline policies for passengers aboard aircraft.
Visiting passengers, who may be experiencing symptoms of illness during their time in the tristate, are encouraged to look for signage throughout the terminal, advising of local healthcare resources’ contact phone numbers.
Travelers are encouraged to utilize mobile boarding passes to limit touchpoints.
Our airlines are also working diligently to keep you healthy and safe.
If you are suffering a fever, cough or have been exposed to communities experiencing
Coronavirus cases, we
encourage you to call one of these Evansville Nurse Triage Lines to begin an
evaluation.
