FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 20, 2017
EVANSVILLE, IN – Travelers will be able to enroll in the Transportation Security Administration’s popular TSA Pre✓® application program inside the Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) terminal during the week of August 7 to 11, where officials will host a temporary enrollment center.
The airport is a convenient location to enroll in the popular program. The airport address is 7801 Bussing Dr. Evansville, IN 47725. Applicants are invited to park in the short-term lot located closest to the terminal building. Parking vouchers will be available to applicants during the enrollment session.
Travelers need only to make an appointment online and complete their enrollment in-person or as a walk-in at the application center. The application center will be located in the airport’s main terminal across from the ticket counters and will be open Monday through Wednesday (Aug. 7 to 9) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Thursday and Friday (Aug. 10 and 11) from 7 to 11 a.m. and noon to 4 p.m. Walk-ins also are welcome.
The TSA Pre✓® application program allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to directly apply for TSA Pre✓® – an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on bag, in select TSA airport checkpoint screening lanes. TSA Pre✓® is currently available at more than 180 airports with 37 participating airlines nationwide.
Applicants should pre-enroll online where they can select an appointment date/time for their in-person appointment. Applicants must bring documentation proving identity and citizenship status. Fingerprints also are required during the in-person enrollment session. To determine what documentation is required to bring to the appointment, view What To Bring.
The application fee is $85 and is good for five years. It must be paid at the time of the appointment by credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
After completing enrollment, successful applicants will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) via U.S. mail within a few weeks. The enrollee should enter the provided KTN in the “Known Traveler Number” field when booking airline reservations. The KTN also can be added when booking reservations online via a participating airline website, via phone call to the airline reservation center or with the travel management company making reservations. Additionally, the KTN can be entered in participating airline frequent flyer profiles, where it will be stored for future reservations.
