EVANSVILLE, IN – Local entrepreneur and business leader Paul Saunders is the newest member of the airport authority’s governing board of directors.

“It is an honor to welcome Paul Saunders to our Airport Authority Board of Directors, and I look forward to his contributions and leadership,” said Nate Hahn, Evansville Regional Airport Executive Director. “Our board members are essential to the airport’s strategic vision, and we feel fortunate for the opportunity to benefit from Paul’s many years of outstanding business acumen, entrepreneurship and innovativeness.”

With over 20 years of experience in e-commerce, operations and supply chain management, Saunders is the founder and president of two successful online businesses - eLuxury.com and ePackageSupply.com, where he oversees all aspects of the business strategy, product development, marketing, sales, customer service and logistics. In 2016, eLuxury.com was named the 4th fastest growing company in the U.S., and the #1 fastest growing company in Indiana by INC 500, joining the ranks of companies like Zappos, Oracle, Under Armour and Microsoft.

Most recently, Saunders founded RidgecrestHoldingsLLC.com, which invests and manages a growing portfolio of industrial and multi-family real estate, local start-ups and various other investments within the Greater Evansville Region.

Saunders leveraged his expertise in e-commerce and digital trade to serve as a member of the FedEx E-Commerce Executive Board of Directors and as a speaker on Capitol Hill, representing the interests of online retailers and consumers. Before launching his own ventures, he served as a buyer and manager at Whirlpool Corporation and Mead Johnson Nutrition (now Reckitt).

“It’s an exciting time for our board, as Paul brings a wealth of experience,” said Rev. Adrian Brooks, EVAAD Board President. “We are confident that his impressive portfolio of expertise and accomplishments will complement our existing board of directors, and his leadership will be invaluable.”

Saunders was appointed to the Evansville-Vanderburgh Airport Authority District (EVAAD) Board by Vanderburgh County Commissioners, succeeding commissioner-appointed board member Gina Hermann. He joins current board members Rev. Adrian Brooks, Paul Green, Pete Paradossi and Kimberly Redding.
