Evansville, Ind. – Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) and Cops Connecting with Kids (CCWK) today announced plans to send 84 local middle school students on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida on January 18, 2027.

Flights for the trip will originate from Evansville Regional Airport, marking the group’s first departure from EVV, with Breeze Airways providing nonstop service to Orlando International Airport.

“For many of these students, this will be their first time on an airplane, staying in a hotel and traveling away from home,” said Doug Daza, CCWK Board President. “We’re incredibly grateful for the partnership with Evansville Regional Airport and Breeze in helping make this experience possible and create a meaningful opportunity for our students that starts right here at home.”

Students selected for the program will be announced this fall. Participants are chosen by their schools based on classroom effort, positive behavior in school and the community and demonstrated leadership.

Since 2014, Cops Connecting with Kids has provided more than 700 students across Evansville, Henderson and Princeton with the opportunity to experience travel beyond their hometowns — often for the very first time.

Through this experience, students will visit a world-renowned destination and gain exposure to air travel and new opportunities beyond their everyday surroundings.

“This is a great example of what strong partnerships can accomplish,” said Leslie Fella, EVV Director of Marketing and Air Service. “As the community’s airport, creating opportunities like this is at the heart of what we do. This truly is a dream come true. We’re grateful to collaborate with Cops Connecting with Kids and our airline partner, Breeze, to help bring this magical experience to life.”

The experience highlights the power of travel to broaden perspectives, build confidence and create lasting memories for students, with the journey itself playing an important role.
