EVANSVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL NONSTOP SERVICE TO DALLAS FORT WORTH
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 31, 2016
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – American Airlines is adding more nonstop service between Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and Evansville Regional Airport (EVV), starting Nov. 4, 2016. The new service offers convenient flight times, offering opportunities for travelers to start their day in Dallas and end their day in Evansville.
Leslie Fella, Evansville Regional Airport Director of Marketing and Air Service, notes the increased frequency to Dallas from American Airlines is a testament to the community’s support for Evansville Regional Airport and is a tangible result of the airport’s continued commitment to bring great air service options to Evansville and the surrounding region.
“We are thrilled to see that American Airlines has taken note of the fact that people in Evansville love the nonstop flights to DFW and has answered the region’s desire for more air service. With the additional seats in our market and the convenient new flight times, we suspect that we’ll see even stronger performance in our market,” said Fella.
Doug Joest, Evansville Regional Airport Executive Director, said the additional flights to Dallas will bring significant benefits to area leisure and business travelers.
“We believe more options to Dallas will immediately benefit area businesses and leisure travelers with better access to the Dallas area, the west coast and international markets,” said Joest.
As American Airlines’ largest domestic hub, DFW offers nearly 800 daily flights to nearly 200 destinations in 29 countries.
“With so many travel options available with just one stop, many Evansville Regional Airport passengers have found the nonstop service between Evansville and Dallas Fort Worth an ideal travel opportunity,” said Joest.
Envoy Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group, will operate the service with a 50-seat ERJ-145.
American Airlines began service between Evansville and Dallas in June 2005.
The new Dallas flight schedule is available now for November ticketing and will be available for December ticketing on Sept. 5; January’s schedule will load soon after that time.
